West Brom Open Weekend 2 Preview

The West Brom continues this weekend with bowlers knowing they will have to wrap up warm with the cold weather forecast. There is a tough half on Saturday with stars such as Staffordshire’s Chris Ward & Paul Busby, Wales’ Andy Hughes, who qualified at St Georges last weekend, Warwick and Worcester’s Paul Gamsby and former Champion of Champion Callum Wraight from Shropshire. Chris’ team mate Gordon Hawkins is in the top half. In the afternoon and Glen/Gareth Herbert will look to make green knowledge count along with James Seville and Gavin Dunkley. Former Staffordshire Merit Winner Mark Picknell is also there, along with Merseyside star Dave McDermott.

On Sunday and former Shropshire Merit winner Wayne Rogers takes part, along with other big competition winners like Leighton Roberts and Chris Kelly who meet first game. Steve Wallace and Ant Bracken will have a say given their green knowledge, as well as former All England Winner Andy Spragg, and also the Perry brothers Stuart and Phil on what promises to be a tough session to get through. The quality keeps on coming as former Shropshire Merit winners Martin Lloyd and Andy Moss start their bid along with Staffordshire’s Jason Groom and James Duce. Aaron Tapper, Kevin Boon and Paul Leah are all county players who look to make an impact, as well as youngsters Reece Farr and Natty Tonks.
