Yorkshire and Warwick & Worcester moved one step closer to a title decider in September as they both won against Shropshire and Wales respectively. Yorkshire were impressive as they beat Shropshire with ease after a slow start. Shropshire had three winners at home on Donnington Wood, led by Harry Church’s 21-14, with the Champions replying with Emma Tobin’s 9 win. They also shared the first four at home on Kirkheaton Cons as it was all square after both fours. But they then turned on the style as they ran off the next 8 winners on Donnington, to win by 57 there, and had 6 at home, with Scott Shaw the best of them 7, in a 33 shot success. Kelly Price was Shropshire’s best away with her 14 win. Warwick and Worcester had it a little harder against Wales but still won home and away in a 51 chalk win. They were always ahead away on Llandudno Oval as William Clarke won 2 in the first four, despite Ryan P Williams replying with their best win of 5. On Kings Norton they only had 8 winners to win by 36 there, Callum Mitchell the best of them 7. For Wales it was Sam Williams who was their best winner, 10.
North Lancs & Fylde opened their campaign with a home and away win over Potteries & District. They won by 48 on Burnley Road Subscription, with Mark Critchley their best winner 5, while Tom Hollinshead was best for the visitors 11. Away at Fenton Private, and despite 5 winners being shared they won there by 28 with three single figure winners, Aaron Hayhurst the best of them at number one, winning 5. Tom Farmer was best for the home team 11.
