Warwick and Worcester are now top after defeating Derbyshire comfortably today, ahead of a winner takes all encounter with Yorkshire in September. They won by 103 at home on the Maggies, having 11 of the 12 winners with Callum Mitchell leading the way at number one winning 2. Ashley Walton was the only winner for the visitors, 17. In Derbyshire though on a flying Stretton Anglesey, the home side did very well in winning by 12. Jack Meredith was the only single figure winner 4 for them, while Matthew Caines was the best of the 7 winners for the away side with his 10 win.
Wales beat Shropshire by 30 overall after a stunning three single figures on the bounce away from home on Bridgewater. James Todd 21-2, Matthew Stevenson 21-6 and Iuean Pugh 21-8 blew Shropshire away despite single figures wins for them by Josh Warner 6 and Ben Hinton 8, as the Welsh won by 26 there. It was much closer in Wales as they won by just 4 shots, the best wins for each side coming in the first two, Ryan Rogers at number one winning 9 for the home side and Kelly Price for the away side 8.
North Midlands got their first win of the season as they beat Lancashire by 75 overall. They won by 85 at home on Potters Green, five single figure winners being the key, Jay Williams the best of them 2. Alicia Gregson was best for the away side 12, with Olivia Williams at number 9 winning 16 for the home side and Matthew Greenwood 17 for the visitors at number 10. In Lancashire at Fleetwood Hesketh and North Midlands held them to a 10 shot win. Tom Lea led the way for them at number 1 winning 7, with the home side’s best winner being Hannah Jones 21-3.
North Lancs & Fylde put themselves in pole position to earn promotion to Division One as they beat Cheshire by 57 overall. They won by 30 at home on Farington, Matthew Brown the best winner 2 with Adam McDermott best for the away side 6. Over in Cheshire and North Lancs won by 27, Kyle Tootle the best of their three single figure winners 21-3, with Kayley Welch winning 6 to be best winner for the home side.
