Warwick and Worcester will meet South Yorkshire in the 2018 BCGBA Endsleigh Senior County Final as both teams progressed in different circumstances today. Warwick and Worcester were comfortable winners against Merseyside, winning home and away. They never looked back after Adam Patrick won 8 and Josh Hale 10 in the first four away on Prescot Manor, and after Mitch Harvey won 10 at number 5 it was all over there, with the away side winning by 37, despite Lee Stringfellow’s best win of 13 for the hosts. Merseyside were doing alright after the first four on Sollihull Marsh Lane, Phil Lee part of two winners, winning 15, but they only had one winner after that, with Adam Kirby’s 3 win helping the 2015 winners to a 47 shot success, and 84 overall.
South Yorkshire had a much tougher game against the Potteries & District, winning by just 5 overall. It was a tale of two excellent away performances, with South Yorkshire restricting Potteries to just an 8 shot win on Biddulph, Paul Wildgoose their best 8 and Kerry Morris best for the home side 4. Having the last three away winners there was also critical, along with taking the back four at home on Woodlands, to overcome a 40 shot deficit overall going into the two back fours. Jonathan Snedddon was best winner 10 at number 12 to bring it home, with Joe Williamson’s best win for Potteries of 12 in vain as they lost by 13 there.
