Shropshire know they must win over Derbyshire to have any chance of avoiding relegation. Both teams haven’t won so far this season, but with this being Shropshire’s last game, they know they must win and hope the Derbyshire and Wales result in September goes their way. They go to Maddocks, scene of their last final in 2014, to get that good home win, while Derbyshire go to Littleover where they know a big home win will mean another season in the Premier Division next season. Yorkshire know a win against Wales will draw them level against Warwick and Worcester ahead of their title decider next month. They are using Golcar while Wales know it could come down to aggregate on who gets relegated, so will want to ensure they do not suffer a big defeat, and use Bersham.
South Yorkshire and North Midlands meet knowing a win will give them a chance of getting promotion next month if Staffordshire slip up against Lancashire. North Midlands would need a big win given their aggregate, and go to Lime Tree Park to try and do so, while South Yorkshire know a win will put some pressure on Staffordshire next month, and use Mosborough.
Greater Manchester and Potteries & District meet with both teams having lost their first games. If they are to have any chance of getting promoted then they need to win this one. Greater Manchester turn to Hopwood while Potteries go to Florence.
