Yorkshire look set to retain the championship as they beat Shropshire by 123. They won by 46 at home on Golcar Liberal with Cameron Ghaffer and Leah Weatherill both best winners 7, with Harry Church best for the visitors 8. At Telepost and Yorkshire had three single figure winners, Jordan Wike the best of them 2 at number 12. For the home side it was Harry Parsonage who was their best 12.
Warwick and Worcester bounced back from their opening defeat with a win against Wales by 55 overall. They won by 41 at home on Greville Arms with Lily West their best winner 5, as Ryan P Williams won 9 for the away side. Lucas Hall was their star away winning 1 at Brymbo, the home side’s best being Nathan Lacey 9.
Derbyshire and South Yorkshire won their second games of the season to both move onto 4 points. Derbyshire beat North Lancs & Fylde by 130, 96 of those coming at home on Kings Newton, Blake Gill their best winner 3, as only Ben Mills won for the visitors 20. At Foulridge Daniel Beard won 0 at number one, part of four single figure winners for the away side. But the home side battled and took 4 out of the 6 winners, led by Thomas Johnson’s 2 win.
South Yorkshire got past North Midlands by 86. Callum Jeffrey was their best at home on Hallam Proprietary 21-5, with Owen Chattaway the best for the away side 9. At Lime Tree it was Abbie Jo Rhodes who was best for the visitors 7 in a 30 shot win, as Nathan Miles was best winner for the home side 21-11.
The closest game of the day was between Potteries & District and Greater Manchester with the former winning by 7. They won away by 18 on Royle Bowling Club, having four single figure winners led by Cameron Collett winning 4. Blake Ashworth Mclean was the best winner for the home side 4. They had won by 11 on Bucknall Private in a good win there. Declan Flint had won 4 for them, while the home side’s best winner was Kyle Ollerhead 11.
